Age: UnknownRank: Arrankal Zanpakutou: Unknown When the Arrancar first appear in Karakura-cho, D-Roy targets Chad, and in the split second in which Chad notices him, D-Roy almost kills him using the impressive speed that the Arrancar possess. Ichigo arrives just in time to stop the Arrancar, but before he can attack D-Roy himself, Rukia arrives and becomes a shinigami, much to Ichigo’s surprise. D-Roy is one of the least developed Arrancar we’ve seen yet. He still possessed a lot of his mask in the form of a helmet that covered most of his head. He also had very block-like teeth – another thing that separated him aesthetically from the other Arrancar. He wore what appeared to be the Arrancar uniform, a variation on the shinigami robes with reversed colors. He wore his top open to show his hollow hole in his chest. In the fight against Rukia, D-Roy introduced himself to her, but didn’t allow her to finish her own introduction. D-Roy underestimated Rukia’s strength, and was surprised that her released zanpakutou was completely white, but refused to believe that she had any real power. When Rukia used her shikai’s power, D-Roy assumed he had evaded the attack, only to be surprised again when Rukia’s ice-type shikai took its effect and vaporized him. D-Roy’s appearance was only important in that we finally got to see what Rukia is capable of as a shinigami. |
