Eilforte wears the Arrancar uniform of the white robes with black lining, which are similar to the shinigami robes, but with a tighter fitting zip up top. Eilforte wore his top half unzipped, showing his hollow hole in the top of his chest. He had long, blonde hair, his mask fragment was on the top of his head. Their fight took place over the Urahara Shouten, and Jinta was watching from the roof with very little sympathy to Renji’s position. However, Ururu appeared on the roof, and before Jinta could stop or restrain her, she entered “Genocide Mode” upon declaring Eilforte a threat who needed to be eliminated. She took Renji and Eilforte by surprise and hit the Arrancar hard enough to make him bleed, thus provoking him to release his zanpakutou and skewering her. While Ururu’s strength had been speculated on, this new release of power confirmed the belief that she is much more than what she seems and has prompted more speculation on what Ururu really is. Eilforte released Ururu, and Jinta caught her and attempted to inflict damage on the Arrancar, but in his released state he was much more difficult to injure. Renji told Jinta to run, even though the odds were against him. Not long after that Matsumoto received permission for she, Renji, and Hitsugaya to release their limits, which quintuples their power. Renji took advantage of Eilforte’s shock to defeat him, though Renji admitted afterwards that if Eilforte hadn’t been surprised, he probably would have lost. Eilforte was very sure of himself, and while he wasn’t one of the top ten strongest Arrancar, he proved to Renji how strong the Arrancar are. He also referred to Renji as “brother” several times, most likely to anger him by pointing out that the Arrancar and the shinigami share several attributes. Eilforte’s presence, like the other defeated Arrancar, was to show how powerful the Arrancar are, and to show how restricted the captains and vice captains are while they’re in the material world. |
